this is one of those rare vintage pieces i'm having great trouble with pricing even through research - for a couple reasons: 1. the black velvet reminds me of the same age I've seen in Victorian jackets with its fragility, fading and material, but the wool is in much better/newer looking condition (no moth holes or discolorations) - 2. also, the two top buttons seem to be made of canine teeth drilled with holes and attached with thread.
